Overview
SSOE is looking for a Process Engineer who would like to be part of our team. This person will support local clients, but also with expectation to virtually support project teams in other locations as well.
This individual will work on projects from inception through construction developing PFD's, P&ID's, process calculations, equipment selection and specifications in the early phases of our projects and continue to provide support through construction.

Responsibilities

Using sound engineering practices, this role will support clients in the chemical industry. The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing.
Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.
- Leading engineering studies, write reports, develop and complete engineering calculations.
- Perform or assist with the development of PFDs and P&IDs, process calculations, equipment specifications, and procurement.
- Provide engineering oversite and checking of process deliverables.
- Coordinate with multi-discipline engineering and design teams to complete necessary project tasks.
- Assist in the creation of bid packages.
- Perform field work to support the above responsibilities.
Qualifications
Qualifications You'll Need on Day One :
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, which qualifies for licensure in the state of practice.
- 4+ years of working experience required.
- Exposure to chemical plants and other related industrial settings strongly preferred.
- Experience with a chemical simulation program, such as ChemCAD or Aspen.
- Experience using Pipe Flo or AFT Fathom a plus.
- Ability to work in a client-facing role while partnering with contractors and vendors.
- Experience with building codes and chemical storage requirements.
- Experience with utility system equipment and distribution systems.
- Experience with industrial wastewater treatment a plus.
- Salary Range : $80,000-$100,000 / year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
