SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Surface Ship Combat Systems Engineer .
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
J ob Summary : This role will be supporting the SystemEngineering Software Integration (SESI) project for the Integrated CombatSystem (ICS) in development, integration, and testing of the combat system.
As a memberof the SESI team you will work in an Agileenvironment focused on continuous integration and development of hardware andsoftware.
A Systems Engineer, also known as lead systems analyst, anetwork engineer who can also program, or a software engineer who can alsomanage networks, is an IT / engineering professional who oversees the creation ofhybrid software, web and hardware products from initial specifications to finalroll-out and maintenance.
The systems engineer is responsible tointegrate various network operating systems, application programs and hardwaredevices.
Duties of a systems engineer typically include managing the developmentcycle associated with producing a resilient software, hardware and webapplication, including : specification, design, coding, testing and maintenance.
Job Responsibilities include :
- Interface with customers for technical collaboration and system integration efforts.
- Foster a good working relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform test and evaluation efforts in support of system level testing.
- Develop and maintain test documentation and procedures.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software related bugs.
- Verify and Validate bug resolution.
- Manage hardware and software configurations.
- Install and maintain hardware and software.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering.
Experience : At least 3 years ofrelated professional experience, preferably for a DoD contractor.
Ideal candidates will have the following :
- Experience with Agile and DevOps practices.
- Experience with working on teams in a geographically dispersed and virtual environment.
- Experience in systems engineering development and application of tools / practices such as Model Based System Engineering (SysML), requirements development (DOORS) and Test Validation.
- Familiarity with computer system and switch architecture.
- Ability to work independently and in a team dynamic with a self-starter mindset.
- Ability to conduct troubleshooting and testing with procedures.
- Excellent communications skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Critical thinker with a continuous learning mindset.
- Security Clearance desired.
