As a Sales Coordinator supporting the outside sales team, you will be a key contributor to the success of our sales operations.
Your role will involve providing administrative and logistical support to ensure the smooth functioning of the external sales efforts.
By managing the CRM tools and facilitating communication between internal teams and external clients, you will play a vital role in driving efficiency and maximizing sales opportunities.
Responsibilities
The Sales Coordinator will perform a wide range of duties including but not limited to the following :
Administrative Support :
- Assist in the preparation of sales proposals, contracts, and presentations for prospective clients.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings for the outside sales team.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, including client interactions, leads, and opportunities.
- Handle incoming inquiries via phone, email, and other channels, directing them to the appropriate sales representatives.
Sales Communication :
- Serve as a liaison between the outside sales team and internal departments, including marketing, logistics, and customer service.
- Communicate important updates, product information, and sales strategies to the sales team in a timely manner.
- Follow up with clients to gather feedback, relay information, and address any concerns or issues.
Sales Support :
- Assist in the preparation of sales reports, forecasts, and analyses to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop sales collateral, promotional materials, and marketing campaigns.
- Coordinate product demonstrations, samples, and other sales support materials as needed.
Customer Relationship Management :
- Manage customer databases and CRM systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of customer profiles, including contact information, purchase history, and preferences.
- Respond to customer inquiries and requests for information in a professional and timely manner.
Team Collaboration :
- Work closely with the inside sales team, sales managers, and other stakeholders to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and strategy sessions to align goals and objectives.
- Contribute ideas and insights to help optimize sales processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Ability to understand high level operation of IWT’s automation equipment
- Ability to read 2D plant layouts and use that information to identify the correct equipment offering for each application
- Ability to read and understand detailed customer specifications and use that information to create detailed proposals
- Ability to speak in front of groups and give presentations
- Highly organized and able to prioritize
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Detail oriented
- Team player and works well with others
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Projects and Excel
- Must wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required
- Valid driver’s license and have or be able to acquire a valid passport
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or equivalent experience required
Experience
Minimum of 3 years' experience in related field
Work Conditions
This job operates in both office and plant environments. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photo copiers, filing cabinets, fax machines, hand tools, and other machines
Travel
Overnight and abroad travel is occasionally required (5% - 15% Travel)
