Role and Responsibilities :
We're looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of repair and maintenance tasks across CW Resources owned properties.
Duties include general building maintenance and upkeep. The ideal candidate should have a strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently.
Experience with tools and equipment relevant to repairs and maintenance is essential, along with a good understanding of safety practices
- Conduct regular inspections and perform preventive maintenance on buildings, systems, and equipment.
- Patch holes, sand, and paint walls, ceilings, and trim.
- Maintain common areas, replace batteries, change lightbulbs, and check circuit breakers.
- Assemble furniture, fixtures, and equipment as needed.
- Ensure that buildings and equipment meet safety standards, addressing potential hazards promptly. Schedules building inspections when due.
- Address and prioritize maintenance requests from online ticketing system. Calls to schedule service when needed eg. Elevator repair.
- Keep track of maintenance supplies and tools, ensuring they are properly stocked and maintained.

Physical and Environmental Demands :
- Frequently lift and carry heavy objects, equipment, and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and moving between work sites.
- Use ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment to reach elevated work areas.
- Regularly bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl to perform tasks in confined spaces.
- Frequent use of hand and power tools requiring manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Perform repetitive tasks such as hammering, drilling, and painting.
- Operate various types of machinery and equipment, such as drills, saws, and sanders.
- Work in a variety of settings, including both indoor and outdoor environments, sometimes in adverse weather conditions.
- Potential exposure to electrical hazards, chemicals, dust, fumes, and loud noises.
- Work in environments with varying temperatures, from hot and humid to cold conditions.
- Occasionally work in tight or cramped spaces, such as attics, crawl spaces, or under buildings.
- Perform tasks at varying heights, including on ladders, roofs, or scaffolding.
- Work in environments with potentially high noise levels, requiring the use of hearing protection.
- Regular use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, and steel-toed boots.
Experience and Education
- High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
- Minimum of 1-year experience with general building maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of tool usage.
- Basic computer knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite (Preferred)
