BoosterPet Assistants Wanted

This position will primarily be responsible for serving our pet community with urgent care needs.

Urgent Care is ideal for pets who need to be seen by a veterinarian and their condition is not life-threatening and doesnt require an overnight hospitalization.

Its similar to when you would choose a human urgent care over the emergency room.

Responsibilities Included But Not Limited To.....

  • Play an active role in the BoosterPet medical team to provide quality medical care, model BoosterPets core values
  • Ability to triage and complete vitals on behalf of our DVMs
  • Be tech savvy
  • Support BoosterPet urgent care services and wellness as needed
  • Complete detailed medical records with through medical history. Ensure medical records are accurate within the practice management system
  • Educate animal owners
  • Liaising with veterinarians and veterinary technicians to ensure continuity of patient care
  • Follow all safety protocols to ensure safety of pets, clients, and team members
  • Administering medications and vaccines prescribed by a veterinarian
  • Maintain medication clerk licensure
  • Obtains and verifies medications
  • performing phlebotomy duties, and providing intramuscular (IM), intravenous (IV) and subcutaneous (SQ) injections
  • Restrain pets in a manner that allows necessary work to be performed, minimizes stress to pets, and ensures the safety of pets and people
  • Assist at front desk / kiosk and greet clients / patients upon entry
  • Answer phones and make appointments as needed
  • Administering first aid for emergencies
  • Help technicians induce / monitor and recover anesthetic patients
  • Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging
  • Maintains safe, secure, healthy, and humane environment by sterilizing and wrapping instruments, sanitizing operating areas, verifying shelf life of medications, maintaining equipment and complying with legal regulations
  • Train new employees on standards of operations
  • Safely drive to various locations in the greater metropolitan Seattle area to support BoosterPet clinics as staffing needs arise
  • Other duties as assigned by managers

Requirements

Experience is required.

Medication Clerk license preferred, will help you obtain if not currently licensed

You are willing to go with the flow to help a growing company succeed in both conventional and novel ways.

While the salary for a specific position will fall within this range, there are a number of factors also taken into consideration.

Those factors include : education, experience, and an associate's tenure
