CNC Machinist Opening

Location : Poughkeepsie, New York

Employment Type : Direct Hire

Schedule : 1st or 2nd shift (ideally 2nd shift)

Pay : $33 per hour

Our client is looking to add talent to their team to help with their growing needs. This is the chance to work with an established, and successful global company to boost your skill set! This person will need to be familiar with setting up CNC Multi-axis equipment, and running machines to produce the desired product.

Editing experience will be a plus.

This CNC Machinist will have the following responsibilities :

• Operate various manual and CNC equipment
• Demonstrated ability to perform offsets and change tools to maintain efficient production with minimal support.
• Ability to efficiently setup complex legacy components and basic new production orders and ensure the machine is ready for steady production.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured components, as required using microscope, micrometer, caliper, pin gages, thread gages, comparator, micro-hite, CMM, Vision system, etc.
• Regularly and as prescribed, perform preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Drive problem solving activities for complex machines or process issues.
• Completes and compiles necessary documentation related to Quality Inspection standards.
• Ensure proper material control, identification and traceability is maintained for conforming and nonconforming material through the manufacturing processes.

The ideal CNC Machinist will have the following skillset / experience :

• High School or GED certificate
• Certified or proficient in Mastercam and Solid works preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with team members
• Demonstrated problem solving skills
