Trust & Estate Litigation Attorney

Century City firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Trust and Estate Litigation Attorney to join their firm. In this role, you will represent clients from inception through resolution in trust and estate litigation matters, provide expert legal counsel, and ensure the successful resolution of disputes related to trusts and estates.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of trust and estate litigation cases, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, conducting legal research, and representing clients in court proceedings.
• Advise clients on matters related to will contests, trust disputes, fiduciary duty claims, contested guardianships, and other trust and estate litigation matters.
• Collaborate with clients and other attorneys to develop and implement effective legal strategies tailored to each case's unique circumstances.
• Conduct thorough investigations, gather evidence, and interview witnesses to support clients' claims or defenses.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing parties when appropriate, advocating for favorable outcomes for clients.
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on case developments, discuss strategy, and address their concerns.
• Stay abreast of developments in trust and estate law, including changes in statutes, regulations, and case law, and apply this knowledge to effectively represent clients.
• Work collaboratively with other members of the legal team, including paralegals and support staff, to ensure efficient case management and client representation.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and active bar membership in California.
• Three (3)+ years of experience practicing trust and estate litigation law preferred.
• Three (3)+ years of relevant and demonstrative litigation experience with a reputable firm is required.
• Strong litigation skills, including experience representing clients in court hearings and trials.
• Familiarity with Los Angeles County rules and procedures.
• Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Compassionate and empathetic demeanor, with a commitment to providing high-quality legal representation.

Salary

$250,000+ commensurate with your experience and qualifications.

Additional Information

Writing samples are required.

Hybrid schedule available (Tuesday Thursday in the office).
