Position Overview
AITC is looking for an experienced Electronic Tech Maintenance II professional to support the Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) Maintenance Program (ATMP) Contract.
Responsibilities / Duties
- Perform all functions required to maintain and repair electronic TADSS and equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance IAW technical guidelines and equipment specifications ensuring proper
- functionality and safe operating conditions
- Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve routine electrical, mechanical, and computer issues by interpreting.
- manufacturers' manuals or similar documents
- Perform inventory of spare / repair parts IAW contractual guidelines
- Enter work order data in a timely and accurate manner into the management information system
- Apply basic and advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems
- May supervise, provide direction / guidance, and check lower-level technicians' work
- Ensure that all paperwork and reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner
- Read and interpret schematic drawings and diagrams required to perform maintenance
- Other duties may be assigned
- May require travel to other installations and other ATMP locations throughout CONUS and OCONUS
Minimum Requirements
- 2 - 5 years' experience with electronics testing / troubleshooting
- Intermediate computer and networking skills
- Working knowledge of Cisco, Microsoft and Linux OS experience required
- Valid driver's license and On-Post driving privileges required
- Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required IAW appropriate OSHA standards
- Work independently and as part of a team

- Excellent written and oral communications skills, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, customer service and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
- Experience utilizing test equipment to include torque wrenches, volt / micrometers, network cable crimping / testers and solder stations to support repairs
Physical Demands
- Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds occasionally and walk short distances.
- Able to move between hangers on foot to access the training devices.
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as : preparing and analyzing data and figures;
transcribing : viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading.
- Must be able to lift 20-30 lbs. overhead, climb 6-10 ft. ladders (with appropriate safety gear)
- The worker is required to have strong hand-eye coordination and proficiency in using tools like soldering equipment.
