Job Title : Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

Responsibilities include repairing, installing, and maintaining equipment, machinery, building, and facilities. The qualified candidate will quickly respond to Production line calls so Production personnel will know the status of the machinery and repairs.

Candidate will operate and observe machinery in order to test their performance while troubleshooting and repairing Production department electrical equipment.

Hard Skills

• Performs PM’s and lubrication as needed
• Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery
• Follow Preventative Maintenance Program
• Ensure plant machinery is operating at peak efficiency
• Repair equipment and perform various preventive maintenance operations
• Assist in training of Maintenance / Engineering personnel on plant equipment
• Complete requests for repairs and installations
• Establish time schedules that least interfere with production operations

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Poughkeepsie, New York.

Work Environment

All the work will consist of hands on training - a lot of learning! 2nd shift : Monday - Friday from : 2PM - 10PM. All candidates will have to start on 1st shift during training : 5AM - 1PM.

Flexible Depending on Dress Code : Clean jeans, T-shirt, and work boots - absolutely no Jewelry, no sleeveless shirt, no nail polish! Uniforms will be provided by the client once they have the opportunity to go perm!
