We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Commercial Cabinetry Project Manager / Estimator.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and estimating cabinetry projects for various commercial buildings, including hospitals, retirement homes, clinics, and other facilities.

You will be tasked with interpreting drawings, developing take-offs, and accurately quoting all applicable millwork. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cabinetry, excellent project management skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities :

Interpretation of Drawings : Analyze architectural drawings and specifications to understand project requirements and scope.

Take-Off Development : Develop detailed take-offs from drawings, identifying all necessary materials, dimensions, and specifications for cabinetry projects.

Estimation : Utilize take-offs to accurately estimate costs for materials, labor, and other project expenses.

Project Management : Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure timely completion of projects within budget and according to specifications.

Supplier Management : Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services required for cabinetry projects.

Budgeting : Assist in the development of project budgets and monitor expenditures to ensure adherence to financial targets.

Quality Control : Implement quality control measures to ensure that all cabinetry meets industry standards and client expectations.

Documentation : Maintain accurate records, including project plans, schedules, change orders, and other relevant documentation.

Communication : Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.

Team Leadership : Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in cabinetry, millwork, or construction estimating.
  • Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail.
  • Advanced knowledge of estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
