Electrical Controls Engineer

Reading, PA

Located about 15 miles south of Reading, PA, our client is hiring an Electrical Controls Engineer! Apply your electrical controls engineering skills to assist our client to design and build high speed automation.

Responsibilities of the Electrical Controls Engineer

  • You will be responsible for the ladder logic programming of PLC brands such as Allen-Bradley RS Logix 500 & 5000, Omron, Automation Direct, Mitsubishi and PanelView / PanelView+ programming.
  • For new projects, serve as a liaison from initial kick-off meeting all the way to design, configuration and build for automated systems used by a variety of manufacturing companies.
  • Be the primary contact to select the required electrical hardware used for the builds.
  • Create the electrical documentation for the machinery including FRS documentation.
  • Be responsible for the runoffs and qualifications with the customers from an electrical engineering perspective.
  • Apply your knowledge to read and interpret AutoCAD electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, installation protocols and PNID.

Requirements of the Electrical Controls Engineer

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or technical equivalent is preferred
  • Willingness to learn HMI Human Machine Interface, cGMP validation, programming protocols, pneumatic controls, autoclave function, SCADA interface design, electrical schematics design
  • MS Office knowledge is required
  • Up to 25% travel required

Compensation for the Electrical Controls Engineer

The targeted annual starting salary for this position ranges from $75,000 to $100,000 per year depending on experience.
