Job Description :

Our client is looking for a Communication Systems Engineer to join the Advanced RF Techniques and Systems Group. The Communication Systems Engineer will develop and validate signal processing communication functions.

The Communication Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in advancing our cutting-edge technologies in digital communication receivers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Develop integrated project plans and schedules and identify resource dependencies across the organization.
• Develop and validate signal processing communication functions for real-time and near-real-time software executing physical-layer signal processing of digital communication receivers (i.

e., demodulation, equalization, and decoding).

• Collaborate with technical team members, both on-site and remote, to design and implement software solutions.
• Participate in on-site laboratory activities, including classified discussions, prototype development, test, and debugging.
• Prepare and share technical results with team members and stakeholders.
• Document work to aid other team members and project activities.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related scientific or engineering field (Master’s degree or PhD is preferred).
• Proficiency in C++ development, including coding, debugging, and testing.
• Proficiency in Verilog and / or VHDL and HDL.
• Experience designing software for digital communication systems.
• Familiarity with design principles for digital communication systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience developing software for 5G NR physical layer is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with operating Ettus and NI software-defined radios is preferred.
• Proficiency in MATLAB and Python programming is a plus.
• Proficiency in scientific programming for GPU architectures is a plus.
• Due to the nature of the work, an Interim clearance is required, however an active Secret clearance is highly preferred.
