Overview :
The Help Desk Senior System Administrator will play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure, ensuring the seamless operation of both servers and workstations.
This role involves leading a complex help desk / system administration function within a large organization, providing expert-level support and guidance.
Qualifications :
- Must have 5 years of experience with both servers and workstations.
- Proven experience leading in a large, complex help desk / system administration function.
- Must have Baseline and Computing Environment Certifications as specified in the Army Training and Certification Tracking Systems (ATCTS).
Responsibilities :
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the help desk and system administration functions.
- Ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organizational functions.
- Develop, implement, and oversee policies and procedures to ensure consistent system administration practices.
- Provide expert-level support for server and workstation issues, including troubleshooting and resolving complex technical problems.
- Lead and mentor a team of help desk and system administration professionals.
- Collaborate with other IT professionals and departments to ensure the alignment of system administration activities with organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant certifications and standards as specified by ATCTS.
