Overview
Strategically plan and implement daily visit offerings for prospective students and their families. Serve to centralize and streamline the visit process.
Essential Duties :
- Strategically plan visit offerings targeted to meet institutional goals. Continually monitor campus visit survey results and attendance, as well as current trends in higher education, and use this information to propose and implement new strategies for continual improvement of the campus visit experience.
- Manage the special group visit process by building and maintaining relationships with community-based organizations and high schools in key markets.
Improve the suite of offerings to meet the needs of these groups to influence more first-generation and students of color to identify Providence College as an accessible and desirable option for higher education.
Oversee a five-figure budget to enable access for groups that may otherwise be unable to visit.
- Recruit, hire, train and supervise summer workers tour guides and supervise the Office Receptionist. Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance in all aspects of welcoming visitors and coordinating events.
- Provide training and implement new initiatives for student volunteer organizations involved in the campus visit experience.
Research, develop, and implement new methods for engaging and incentivizing volunteers.
Use knowledge of the visit process to help plan large-scale open house and yield events. Collaborate with staff of student-serving departments to ensure meaningful representation at these events.

Education and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field from an accredited institution required
- One to three years of progressive experience in event management or admission event planning or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Basic experience using Slate
- Interpersonal and networking skills, ability to interact well with a diverse population
- Good verbal and written skills
- Motivation and innovation, creativity, analytical, problem-solving
- Organization, ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
