Position Purpose : Manage assigned accounting functions. Provide accounting services in an ethical, legal and moral manner, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.

Qualifications / Basic Job Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or a related field
• Two years’ experience in general accounting procedures or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Excellent organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft suites, accounting software)
• Self-starter with ability to work independently
• Ability to work within a team
• Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance

Essential Responsibilities :

• Work hours prescribed by the Director of Finance and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned.
• Monthly Financial Statements Prepare Journal Entries,Post Journal Entries,Upload Journal Entries,Reconcile accounts as assignedCalculate accrued expenses for month end recordingPrepare Accrual Journal EntriesReview journal entries for appropriateness / adherence to GAAPApprove journal entries
• Banking / Cash Prepare daily or weekly deposits,Verify bank receipts,Reconcile cash receipts to cash journal posting,Approve cash journalsMaintain check registers,Complete monthly bank reconciliations,Conduct petty cash auditsReview and approve bank reconciliations
• Utilization Reporting Prepare monthly fee for service utilization reports,Prepare monthly grant utilization reports,Prepare other reports as requested,Reconcile reports to revenue accountsReview, analyze and identify trends or problems relevant to utilization reportsIdentify opportunities for performance or process improvements in finance or at the program levelProvide feedback to clinical teamsFile reports as required with funders
• Schedules and Reports Prepare reconciliation schedules,Prepare other schedules as requested,Prepare and distribute internal financial statementsReview, analyze and identify trends or problems relevant to schedules and reportsIdentify opportunities for performance or process improvements in finance or at the program levelProvide feedback to clinical teamsFile reports as required with funders
• Annual Audit Prepare audit schedules as assignedReview and approve schedules
• Project Management Lead or participate in projects as neededNew business linesImplementation of new technologyTraining on new procedures
• Provide backup support for Controller and Staff Accountants as needed
• Serve as a member of the Finance team and participate in all team meetings and activities.
• Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the Code of Ethics and with the framework of the law.
• Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
• Serve as a role model for other staff, patients and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance
• Assume other related responsibilities as delegated and assigned.

Schedule : 8-hour shifts

• Shift : 8 : 30am - 5 : 00pm
• Monday through Friday
• Hybrid schedule available after training period
