We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, programming, and troubleshooting control systems for industrial applications. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining automation solutions that integrate Siemens control systems and Fanuc robots. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance production efficiency and ensure operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, implement, and maintain control systems for industrial automation using Siemens PLCs and HMI software.
- Program, simulate, and test automated machinery and processes to ensure they function according to specifications.
- Troubleshoot complex control systems and provide technical support for production issues involving Siemens controls and Fanuc robots.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, Maintenance, and other team members to integrate and maintain control systems with mechanical systems.
- Develop and manage project documentation including system layouts, electrical diagrams, and detailed work instructions.
- Conduct training sessions for operators and maintenance personnel on the proper use and maintenance of control systems.
- Stay current with advances in control technology and make recommendations for upgrades and improvements.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronix, Control Systems Engineering, or equivalent field.7-10 years of experience in control engineering, specifically with Siemens control systems and Fanuc robots.Experience with HMI / SCADA platforms including Siemens Unified / Comfort, Allen Bradley Panelview, Ignition, and others.Ability to read and understand P&ID's, construction drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics.Strong troubleshooting skills with a willingness to dive into technical challenges.Strong understanding of pneumatics is a plus.Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Preferred :
Experienced with hazardous material and / or energetics processingFormal problem-solving experience, i.e., DMAIC, 5-why or 3 x 5 why, Kepner-Tregoe, etc.Experience leveraging lean manufacturing principles for designing and / or improving processesIf you meet these qualifications and are looking for an exciting opportunity to advance your career in control engineering, we encourage you to apply.
