Talascend is seeking qualified professionals for a Project Engineer - Supplier Performance for a full-time opportunity with our client, 100% remote.

Overview

The Supplier Performance, Project Engineer will provide critical oversight and integration for supplier projects within our client's advanced nuclear reactor project, coordinating closely with internal and external teams to ensure supplier performance and project success.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee supplier performance through project management of cost, schedule, submittals, and resources
  • Facilitate supplier selection activities, including RFP issuance and team review, through the bid and award process
  • Develop and implement Commercial Grade Dedication plans per ASME NQA-1 standards
  • Coordinate qualification of safety-related equipment following IEE and ASME QME-1 standards
  • Collaborate with technical and commercial teams to align supplier work with project objectives
  • Develop statements of work (SOW) and manage project planning
  • Lead technical reviews of supplier deliverables and coordinate responses
  • Maintain effective technical interfaces between supplier projects and the molten chloride fast reactor (MCFR) technical team
  • Support contract administration and commercial project activities
  • Manage submittals between suppliers and the MCFR team
  • Conduct supplier audits, surveillances, and facility surveys

Requirements

  • Must have a degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, nuclear, systems, or civil engineering
  • 8-10 years of supplier oversight experience
  • Experience managing cost and schedule for safety-related manufacturing and construction
  • Knowledge of component qualification and Commercial Grade Dedication
  • Strong technical direction skills and contractual / commercial support experience
  • Proficiency with NQA-1 procurement data packages
  • Experience defining supplier scope and creating statements of work and RFPs
  • Broad understanding of interrelated engineering disciplines
  • Strong communication skills; PMP certification preferred
