Electronics / Electrical Systems EngineerResponsibilities :

• Developan embedded controller design that interacts with avionics systems(including sensors and electromechanical / electrohydraulicactuators).
• Own this design and the ruggedelectronic hardware assemblies across the entire product life cyclefrom concept and requirements definition design analysisprototyping schematic capture layout design reviewtest / verification (poweron functional / acceptance / qualificationtesting) and through release to production.
• Support avionics controller architecture trade studiesanalyses performance characterization and specification deviceselection and controller roadmap direction.
• Support controller risk analyses failure modes effectsand criticality analyses (FMECA) design for test / manufacture / cost(DFx) and rootcause analysis of test discrepancies.
• Participate in program level technology developmentmission assurance and safety initiatives and avionics developmentprocess improvements.
• Effectively communicatedevelopment status risks and challenges to management.

Electronics / ElectricalSystems Engineer Qualifications :

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineeringor related disciplines
• A breadth ofunderstanding in electronics hardware development such asdeveloping complex circuit cards consumer electronics wirelessdevices or other advanced electronic commercial or aerospaceproducts
• Experience with analog digital ormixedsignal circuit design including analysis simulation testtroubleshooting and part selection
• Knowledgeof signal integrity power grounding and general board layoutprinciples
• Familiar with many of the followingparts and their usage : microcontrollers processors FPGAs ADCs DACsOpAmps power supplies (linear LDO DC / DC) volatile memory (DDR)nonvolatile memory (NAND NOR etc.) and MOSFETs
• Knowledge of common communication methods such as RS232RS422 I2C SPI LVDS Ethernet CAN or PCIe
• Knowledge of radiation effects on electronics and how toapply this to designs targeting space applications
• Desire to work handson both independently and as part ofa team throughout the development and production phases of theelectronic assembly product lifecycle
• Abilityto earn trust maintain positive and professional relationships andsupply to a culture of collaboration
• Must be aU.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (current GreenCard holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S.

• Basic or better knowledge of motorcontroller design and operation
• Demonstratedexperience designing high reliability safetycritical Class 2 / 3board assemblies; familiarity with IPCA600 / 610 DO254 and similarstandards
• Scripting Programming and Analysis : TCL Python Linux shell and Windows batch scripting; C / C; MATLAB / Simulink HSPICE and HFSS (or similar modeling / analysistools)
