FOOD OPERATIONS MANAGER 3

Sodexo Campus Segment has a great opportunity for you as a Food Operations Manager 3 at Southern Connecticut State University located in New Haven, Connecticut .

Sodexo Dining Services partners with SCSU to operate a comprehensive dining program which includes a resident dining location, popular retail food platforms, catering, summer conference business and more.

The successful candidate will :

• have oversight of day-to-day operations;
• Assumes General Managers (GM) responsibilities and authority in their absence
• deliver high quality food service;
• achieve company and client financial targets and goals;
• develop and maintain client and customer relationships;
• develop strategic plans;
• Provides supervision for food services at account / unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the company.
• Implements business practices in order to uphold company mission, values and commitments made in the Sodexo client contractual agreement.
• create a positive environment; and / or
• ensure Sodexo standards are met.
• Union experience is highly preferred.

• have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively;
• have culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;
• can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
• prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and / or
• demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS) The Market Connection (TMC) and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.

Qualifications & Requirements :

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
