We are looking to hire a Legal Assistant in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to assigned attorneys and collaborating with the firm to meet overall needs.
This role is situated within a highly technological and computer-savvy environment and requires exceptional legal secretarial skills, familiarity with Oregon state, Washington state, and federal court rules / procedures, electronic court filings, and docketing / calendaring rules.
Responsibilities :
- Provide robust support to assigned attorneys
- Collaborate effectively to support the overall needs of the firm
- Maintain high-level organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills
- Ensure exceptional client service orientation and sound judgment
- Solve problems effectively and remain focused amidst competing priorities
- Exhibit strong computer skills and experience in a highly technological environment
- Show proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Word, familiarity with NetDocs is a plus
- Play a vital role in a busy team-oriented environment

- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Legal Assistant
- Proficient in civil litigation processes and procedures
- Demonstrated experience in civil litigation
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- High degree of professionalism and confidentiality
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research software
- Paralegal certification or equivalent preferred
- Must have the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures
- Excellent problem-solving skills and detail-oriented.
