The City of Woodland is strategically located in California's Sacramento Valley, one of the world's richest agricultural areas. Job Overview

The City of Woodland Police Department is looking for lateral officer candidates who are currently employed as a California peace officer, have two years of experience and possess a California POST Basic Certificate or have formerly been employed as a California peace officer, possess a California POST Basic Certificate and have not had more than a three-year break in service as a California Peace Officer. Police Officer positions with the City of Woodland are filled from an eligibility list.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education : Minimum education of United States high school graduation or passage of GED or other approved equivalency test.
• Citizenship : A candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States under federal law at the time of appointment.
• Possess : A POST Basic Certificate or higher.
• License : Possession of a valid California Class C driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Physical : Physical health, strength, stature, and agility to meet the physical demands of police work as determined by an agility test and a pre-employment physical exam.
• Vision : See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
• Hearing : Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
• Conduct : No felony convictions and good personal conduct.
