Michigan engineering firm specializing in athletic and recreational facilities projects is hiring a CAD Drafter / Designer for their office in the Detroit area! This position is ideal for a candidate willing to learn, grow, and enhance professional skills.
Responsibilities :
- Provide site analysis, conceptual design, productionof construction documents, and project presentation graphics
- Project design from conceptual design throughconstruction
- Prepare project document plans / reports
- As part of the design team work on planning,scheduling, conducting, and coordinating the technical aspects of projects
- Resolve technical project issues
- Communicate with clients and team members
- Review / respond to RFIs and submittals
- Present / explain designs and make changes tomeet client’s goals
- Perform other duties as needed
Requirements :
- Associates in Applied Science Degree orequivalent in CAD, civil technology, civil engineering, building construction technology,or construction management
- 5+ years of landscape related experience
- Technical understanding of landscape architecture / civil engineering sitedevelopment preferred
- Extensive knowledge of all areas of design / design methods
- Experience with schematic design, design development and constructiondocuments
- Technical knowledge to identify issues and resolve them
- General knowledge / interpretation of code compliancerequirements / industry standards
- Proficient in relevant drafting / design software(AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, and Adobe Acrobat)
