English Instructor/Tutor - Elementary and Middle School Students

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking to hire an experienced English Instructor to be responsible for planning and delivering engaging English lessons to our 1st - 8th grade students.

Our instructor will be assisting in teaching conversational English, Phonics, Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary, and Writing.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced English educator to make a positive impact on students' language acquisition and help them achieve their language learning goals.

This is a Flexible, Part-Time, in person opportunity.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education or any related field (required)
• Master's degree in English, Education or related field from an accredited college or university (preferred)
• 1 year experience as an English instructor or tutor (required)
• Successful track record of developing student’s knowledge in learning English (required)
• Professional communication skills (both spoken and written)
• Competent in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Able to work independently and collaborate with a team
• Enthusiastic about working with students and parents
• Able to maintain strict confidentiality
• Highly organized and detail oriented (attention to detail and accuracy is imperative)
• Ability to meet schedules and deadlines
• Good judgement and decision-making abilities

JOB DUTIES :

• Collaborate with the Director of Curriculum Development to develop lesson plans and curricula as needed
• Deliver interactive and engaging English lessons that promote the development of speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
• Assess students' progress through regular evaluations, including tests, assignments, and participation, and provide constructive feedback to support their language development.
• Provide homework help as needed
• Able to lead a classroom of students effectively and work efficiently with students
• Good classroom management skills
