Holy Family Bilingual Catholic School is looking for a Middle School SLA and Religion Teacher for the 2024-25 school year.

This teaching position entails teaching SLA grades 6-8 and Religion grades 6 and 8.

Successful applicants :

  • Have experience in similar teaching positions and a passion for working within a bilingual Catholic community.
  • Have knowledge of curriculum planning in SLA and Religion according to Common Core Standards and Religion Standards.
  • Have experience following and adapting curriculum such as the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project (used in middle school SLA at Holy Family)
  • Enjoy working with students in different grade levels
  • Are team players and thrive within a highly-collaborative environment.
  • Agree to work in a Catholic teaching environment and uphold Catholic values and teachings.
  • Uphold best practices in classroom management and discipline, creating a safe learning environment for all.
  • Are knowledgeable about providing differentiated learning experiences for students with different learning needs and a basic understanding of the Universal Design for Learning.
  • Are adept at creating positive relationships with parents and families in the effort of partnering in each child's education.
  • A current Washington State teaching certificate is encouraged but not required.
  • Candidate must be fluent in speaking, reading, writing and teaching in academic Spanish language

Salary : Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.

Salary range is $49,000-$70,000 per year.

Benefits : This position is 1.0 FTE A comprehensive package of benefits is offered including two medical plan options, dental, vision, life, accidental death and disability, long term disability, pension, 403(b), HSA, FSA, and generous sick leave, vacation, and holidays.
