Key Responsibilities of the Senior Tax Accountant
- Prepare and review individual (1040), partnership (1065), and corporate (1120) tax returns.
- Conduct comprehensive tax research and provide solutions for complex tax issues.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Manage multiple client engagements, providing top-tier client service and maintaining client relationships.
- Assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies.
- Supervise and mentor junior tax staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate these changes to clients and staff.
- Utilize CCH Prosystems FX for tax preparation and review processes.
Preferred Qualifications of the Senior Tax Accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax.
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing 1040, 1065, and 1120 tax returns.
- Mastery of accounting principles and tax principles.
- Extensive experience using CCH Prosystems FX.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Compensation Range : $140,000-$160,000
