Your Role

You will play a crucial role in turning houses into homes. Your main responsibilities include participating in the development of houses available for purchase through ZURU proprietary software, developing collections of finishes compatible with the ZURU product, as well as developing furniture collections available for sale to our customers.

Your Impact

Through your efforts, you will significantly impact the quality of the ZURU product and help us become a pioneer in the prefabricated architecture world.

Your input will be crucial to our multidisciplinary team to ensure the product quality and design standard.

Additionally, you will actively participate in the design of exclusive properties demonstrating the full potential of our products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop interior and exterior architectural finishes, ranging from kitchens, cabinetry finishes, floor selection, and wall treatments.
  • Work closely with our software development teams to integrate high design standards into the staging and renderings of our houses, including supporting our innovative AI team in developing automatic staging tools.
  • Generate rules for optimizing room sizing, space layout, and enhance overall customer and future homeowner experience.
  • Develop lighting principles and guides to enhance the comfort and quality of the ZURU houses.
  • Curate a selection of case goods, upholstery pieces, small furniture pieces, decorative objects, rugs, and lights that will be available for sale with ZURU’s architectural system.
  • Collaborate with our sourcing team and different suppliers to ensure quality control, versatility of the pieces, and pricing requirements.

Research, select, and document FF&E for bathrooms and kitchens.

Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing, including material, dimensions, and construction methods.

Required

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred) in Furniture Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a related field.
  • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and international mass production standards.
  • Experience with CAD drawings (Rhino is a must) and rendering software.
  • Very strong representation skills, both from a technical, verbal, and aesthetic perspective.
  • Ability to use and develop new tools without being afraid to challenge traditional work methods and processes.
  • Capacity to contribute to a multidisciplinary team and to move projects forward in a fast timeline.
