WPTA Television, Inc. the ABC, NBC, CW, and MyTV affiliates in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a dynamic team-oriented, innovative, motivated Multimedia Sales Manager with excellent professional leadership skills, trainer / coaching ability, good communication skills, and creative ability with digital and broadcast skills to grow our local sales efforts.
The Multimedia Sales Manager is responsible for leading a team, monitoring key station accounts, a solid resource before and after the sale, and building strong client relationships through exceptional campaign management, optimization, performance, and client satisfaction.
This position works with the Director of Sales on business development for the station, specifically championing digital and new local direct sales.
The successful candidate will work closely with local businesses and media Executives, and is a key team player. The Multimedia Sales Manager should provide unique marketing solutions, and innovative revenue ideas and will be responsible for achieving the station's digital and local advertising budgets.
The successful individual must be proficient with current digital marketing trends, products, and solutions. The successful candidate will serve as coach and advisor to the local sales team and advertisers.
Duties / Responsibilities include (but not limited to) :
- Driving digital and linear revenue growth and ensuring all budgets and goals are met or exceeded with a focus on new local direct business
- Providing digital and broadcast training and support to the sales team
- Build and implement strategies that achieve client goals
- Assisting Media Executives in presenting, and closing business along with serving alongside the sales team after the sale
- Developing sales presentations and collateral using up-to-date research materials
- Maintaining campaign tracking, delivery, and reporting to ensure campaign success
- Overseeing digital pricing and revenue forecasting
- Promoting a winning, positive culture, a positive team player is a must
- Ability to work in a collaborative space as a partner / consultant and be seen in the industry as an expert in advertising with Media Executives and advertisers
- Working in tandem with the Director of Sales on revenue generation strategy and forecasting
- Oversight of all digital sales products, creative, inventory management and pricing strategies
Qualifications / Requirements :
Strong leadership skills, highly organized, problem solver, and able to multi-task in an extremely fast-paced environment.
Must have the ability to work independently and manage time efficiently and effectively
- Comfortable holding team members accountable to their budgets and goals while helping them achieve success and grow
- Ability to translate and communicate problems into opportunities
- Ability to manage multiple projects, manage time wisely, and prioritize projects and people
- Strong computer skills, presentation experience, proficiency in Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.) social media, targeted email, Streaming TV, Streaming audio, targeting knowledge
- The ideal candidate would have a minimum of two years of digital and broadcast sales experience
- Bachelor's Degree in marketing / advertising / digital advertising or similar field is preferred but not required
- All candidates must have a valid driver's license and good driving record
