We are seeking a Payroll Administrator to join our team in Hamel, Minnesota. The primary function of this role will be to focus on prevailing wage and North American payrolls, working closely with our current Payroll Specialist.

The role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity and will mainly be based in our office, with the flexibility to work from home under certain circumstances.

Responsibilities :

  • Accurately process prevailing wage and North American payrolls, including those for Canada, US & Mexico
  • Work closely with our current Payroll Specialist, learning and eventually taking over their responsibilities
  • Maintain and manage detailed payroll records
  • Handle employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or discrepancies
  • Use various accounting software systems, such as Dayforce and ADP Workforce Now, to manage payroll processes
  • Ensure compliance with prevailing wage regulations and other relevant laws
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of payroll data
  • Manage the administration of benefits, including 401k and RRSP
  • Generate and handle sensitive and confidential reports using tools such as Crystal Reports
  • Continually update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required for accurate data management.
  • Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now is needed for efficient workforce management.
  • Familiarity with Crystal Reports is necessary for creating and managing reports.
  • Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration is required for managing retirement benefits.
  • Proficiency in About Time software is necessary for accurate time tracking.
  • Understanding of Accounting Functions is required for proper financial management.
  • Experience in Auditing is necessary for ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial operations.
  • Knowledge of Benefit Functions is required for managing employee benefits.
  • Familiarity with Dayforce system is necessary for efficient workforce management.
  • Experience in Prevailing Wage management is required for accurate wage calculations.
