Responsibilities

Full-Time Behavioral Health Teacher Opportunity

This opportunity to serve as a member of the multidisiplinary treatment team for students by providing direct education services.

Utilizes knowledge and skills related to crisis intervention and verbal de-escalation in order to provide a safe environment for students, visitors and staff.

While developing, implementing, and updates IEP's for all students on their educational case load. Daily written plans based on curriculum, core / state standards and IEP goals.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

• Special Education Teacher Certification- State of Illinois in Type 10 LBS I Limited or Unlimited required. Bachelor’s degree in Education preferred.
• Teaching in a special education setting preferred.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Projects a positive image of The Pavilion by being courteous, helpful, friendly, and professional in relationships with patients / residents / students, visitors and co-workers.
• Assures compliance with federal, state, and organizational confidentiality regulations.
• Responds to a Support Code in a therapeutic, appropriate manner as prescribed in the annual TCI inservice.
• Maintains OSHA, Risk Management, Infection Control, CPR and TCI and all other required education.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
