Spring-Green Lawn Care is seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead our six company-owned branch locations in Illinois and Wisconsin into the next decade.
This highly visible and influential leader will manage a team of Branch Managers as well as support staff dedicated to the success of our company-owned locations.
Rooted by strong company values, this key position will develop the operational road map needed to meet the company’s long-term goals.
We welcome candidates with lawn care, landscaping, home repair and maintenance services, or route based industry experience.
Multi-location experience preferred.
The Director of Operations provides oversight and proactive leadership to branch management staff, focusing on the achievement of top and bottom-line goals through the effective utilization of equipment and materials, the on-time & efficient completion of production, and the execution of in-field marketing programs at the branch level.
Responsible for ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction with the achievement of measurable customer experience targets throughout the company-owned network.
This position requires an individual with a high degree of independent judgment and decision making relative to the direction of the company-owned locations and reports directly to the Vice-President of Operations for Superior Lawns.

Essential responsibilities (abbreviated) :
- Review daily, weekly and monthly reports and provide ongoing communication with managers regarding branch performance. Identify areas of concern and communicate any improvement plans as needed.
- Coordinate deployment and inspire branch managers to carry out planned sales and marketing activities as designated by the Sales and Marketing Director.
- Promote and monitor the execution of hiring efforts at all branches to ensure appropriate staffing levels and quality hires.
- Promote effective safety awareness programs that meet all insurance, state, and federal regulations that ensure a safe work environment for all branch employees.
- Establish training initiatives for branch staff members as needed. Identifying areas of improvement and target training so that measurable improvement can be achieved.
- Assist with executing any assigned training programs and activities at the branch level.
- Motivate managers to train, motivate, and monitor each team member so the highest level of individual performance is achieved.
- Ensure compliance with all local and federal agency requirements and licensing regulations. Including the proper record keeping of related documentation.
- Participate in the annual budgeting and planning process for branch operations.
Education and / or experience
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the service industry
- Proven experience with operational oversight of a multi-location service business is required. Lawn Care experience is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field required.
- Successful track record of leading, coaching, motivating, and directing others required.
This position may require seasonal travel up to 60%
