Position Overview

Autodesk is a Customer Company with millions of customers world-wide. As a Territory Account Sales Executive, you are the primary contact for your list in our Design and Manufacturing portfolio.

The accounts are medium to large named accounts in our midmarket sector. You will maintain your client's existing business and create growth throughout the accounts and their subsidiaries.

While you are responsible for your accounts, you will collaborate with our Value-Added Resellers (VARs), Technical Specialists, Business Development Reps, and Account-based Marketers to ensure your customers are adopting and expanding the use of Autodesk software to achieve their goals.

You will report to the Manager of the Western Region and are focused on accounts that are headquartered in the Western United States.

Location : Remote friendly in the Western Region

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and prepare accounts plans for each named account. This involves evaluating the customer profile, creating value messaging and targeting important steps needed to accomplish the account plans.
  • Prospect into your accounts and their subsidiaries to identify new opportunities.
  • Negotiate deals and contracts at several levels within the targeted account, with primary focus / importance on "C" and enterprise level negotiations.
  • Develop important relationships within the account including Important Executives and translate customer challenges and opportunities into unique value.
  • Manage accounts through entire sales process; Outside field sales position, physically at customer location for business development, prospecting, and specifications through contract negotiations, signing, and post-sales support.
  • Deliver an accurate weekly, monthly & quarterly forecast of business.
  • Partner collaboratively with channel partners to understand their business, creatively adopt programs to increase new revenue and expand partner relationships.
  • Experience using a CRM software system.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 5+ years of consistent quota attainment in Enterprise Technology Software sales.
  • Experience prospecting and meeting with CxO contacts.
  • Demonstrated closing and negotiation skills driving $500K+ deals to closure.
  • Experience with direct and indirect selling channels.
  • Motivated, determined and business oriented.

The Ideal Candidate

You are motivated and excel. You wake up each day and want to get in front of your customers to promote net new business.

To manage your accounts and their subsidiaries you are experienced following a clear process for outreach using different methods (cold calling, cold emailing, LinkedIn) and experience balancing multiple sales opportunities.

Additionally, you can coordinate the efforts of your extended team including the VARs, Technical Specialists, and others, enabling you to focus on the actions which will create the largest impact.

You have the experience and courage to call high into your accounts and meet with C-level contacts where you can promote cross-divisional initiatives for your customers.

You are never satisfied just keeping the existing book of business renewing; instead, you are to find new divisions, subsidiaries, and departments where you can expand the footprint of our solutions.

Because you are an experienced salesperson, you succeed in an environment where you are trusted to run your own business, using management to lead executive agreement in your accounts.

You are experienced with complex situations and enjoy learning about your clients' manufacturing businesses. Your experience discerning whether a prospect is a good fit for a product based on discovery conversations will help you evaluate your customer's needs and align the Autodesk solutions.

Salary Transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based sales roles, we expect a starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) between $221,300 and $320,320.

OTE is comprised of base salary plus commission target for sales roles. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location and may exceed this range.

In addition to base salaries and / or OTE for sales roles, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
