The US Vaccines team is seeking a Senior Director US Marketing, Zoster. The successful candidate will have a proven record of US marketing strategy development and execution, people leadership and commercial goal attainment.
This is a highly visible and strategically important role for GSK. We are looking for an inspiring commercial leader and highly experienced marketer who can lead the way!
This role will be the US marketing lead for GSK’s shingles vaccine, reporting to the VP of Marketing for US Vaccines. This person will play a critical role in driving continued growth for the brand and growth in the immunization rate for shingles in the US.
You will be accountable to drive US brand strategy and execution, lead a team of US marketers plus a team of cross-functional stakeholders, and maximize ambition.
- Partnering with global commercial teams
- Overseeing creation and implementation of the strategic and operating plans
- Managing product lifecycle
- Managing short- and long-range forecasts
- P&L ownership
- Ensuring reliable supply
- Setting direction and ensuring strategic alignment across functional stakeholder groups
- Defining metrics and assessing brand performance
- Achieving annual brand and sales targets
- Leading / developing a high performing team of marketing directors / managers / associates
- Maintaining detailed understanding of disease and competitive marketplace
- Defining customer insights, journeys, and segmentation; product positioning; creative strategy, core messaging and content plans;
integrated, cross channel promotional mix

Basic Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8+ years commercial experience including sales or marketing (with minimum of 4 years in marketing) with experience in : Brand lifecycle managementSenior leader engagementMatrix team leadershipCategory / disease and product strategy developmentCustomer insight, messaging, campaign, creative developmentAgency managementBudget management; P&L ownership
- Experience in US healthcare brand marketing
- Experience in direct people management
Preferred Qualifications :
- 6+ years of marketing experience
- Vaccines experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrates an understanding of channels, pricing, and market access strategies
- Drives market and brand opportunity analysis and develops actionable brand insights
- Recognizes trade-offs and makes adjustments as needed; prioritizes short / long-term needs
- Demonstrates sense of ownership for the shared success of the team and asset
- Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, competitive environment and drives culture of trust, respect, transparency, and accountability
- Competitive mindset; feels driven to conquer uncharted territory and passionate for creating impact on Public health
