Through this pathway you will receive training and coaching that prepares you to become a Distribution Center (DC) Area Manager.

In this role you will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of warehouse operations, while leading a team of Distribution Center Associates in efficiently and effectively executing shipping / receiving responsibilities safely, productively and in accordance with company policies and procedures.

You will be a key player in our supply chain operation, ensuring all DC operations run smoothly so we can ensure merchandise is being received, processed, stored, packed, and shipped properly to help us achieve our mission to get the right products to the right stores at the right time!

Our Day in the Life of a Distribution Center Area Manager

Analyzes productivity,efficiency, and accuracy data to lead and drive team performance excellence and maximize individual team member performance and potential.

Leads and acts as an ambassador for Burlington’s Core Values, fostering an engaging, professional, and inclusive team environment.

Acts as a catalyst and action driver for complex, cross-functional, and interdepartmental assignments, and special projects.

Practices everyday development by providing feedback, coaching, and development to their team and receiving the same for oneself.

Ensures on-going training and consistent compliance with all appropriate policies, procedures, and rules.

Effectively and confidently leverages technology, warehouse management systems, and reporting tools / programs to drive results and performance excellence.

Our Distribution Center Area Manager

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, or similarly related field).

Affinity for team leadership / coaching, addressing complex problems with limited inputs, a fast paced and always evolving environment.

Data-driven problem-solver who can build and maintain productive partnerships by living and reinforcing our core values.

Ability to think critically with high attention to detail and listening, oral, and written communication skills.

A self-starter who takes initiative with a sense of curiosity, adaptability, and courage to always be a student of the business.

Strong aspiration and desire for building a leadership career in Distribution, Supply Chain, Logistics.

Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office programs with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Candidates must be able to work a flexible and on average 3-4 day weekly work schedule; including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required

Openness to relocation with new opportunities / promotion is strongly preferred.

Reliable transportation is required as Distribution Center locations (New Jersey and California), may not be easily accessible by public transportation.

Based on the needs of the business, you may need to travel to other Distribution Center locations or area stores that do not match the schedules for public transportation.
