Description
In this role you will be responsible for leading Sales, Inventory, and Finished Goods Inventory planning. You will be a key input into Operations Planning and other cross-functional planning activities for the Americas business units.
This position reports to the business unit Vice President.
Key Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the business unit SIOP organization as a strategic highly engaged cross functional unit.
- Benchmark, compare to world class to develop, standardize, and implement world class SIOP measures, processes and tools.
- Ensure full integration of forecasts and plans for all assigned business units
- Facilitate demand planning discussions with Commercial and Finance partners, using statistical methods, industry trends, customer forecasts, and market assumptions to arrive at consensus demand forecasts at an actionable level of granularity.
- Facilitates final reconciliation of risks and opportunities presented in the cycle with Product Owners and Finance to arrive at a consensus forecast that will be the guideline for execution
- Develop and maintain world class SIOP processes to deliver accurate and reliable signals to executive stakeholders as well as the supply planning team.
- Work across multiple functions to ensure integration of plans and schedules.
- Work internally with Demand Planners, the Material Planning team, Analysts, and Leadership to ensure end-to-end integration of SIOP plans that translate into on-time delivery while driving minimal inventory levels.
- Work cross functionally to identify root causes and mitigation actions for issues ensuring successful and timely resolution.
- Drive cross functionally supported key business metrics to increase overall efficiency and standardization of SIOP processes including but not limited to : Customer On-time delivery, Product Availability, Working capital, Inventory turns, Excess and Obsolete Inventory, supporting Profit and Revenue growth and Productivity.
- Responsible for SIOP Metrics, SIOP Maturity, and SIOP Effectiveness Scorecard performance, management, and improvement.
- Identify and implement best practices to optimize performance and ensure alignment with corporate Key Strategic Initiatives.
- Collaborate with financial, commercial, and manufacturing leaders to ensure alignment on business objectives that SIOP will translate to executable plans and actions
- Works closely with the Operations Management Team in providing Demand & Supply highlights. In parallel, work closely with other members of the Supply Chain Leadership Team in shaping the SIOP Cycle.
- Act as a key point of contact for Functional Teams, Business Leaders, and for Internal and External Suppliers and stakeholders
- Integrate consensus demand forecast into supply planning process, partnering with Operations and Supply Chain leaders to develop and project operational capacity and ensure material availability to fulfill customer demand meeting or exceeding industry lead times.
- Recommend and drive continuous process improvements and ensure cross-functional integration and communication
- Provide recurring Executive-level briefings
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This is a high visibility role that will interact with Senior Executive-level Leadership and lead a team of direct reports.
- Supervises supervisory and non-supervisory employee(s).
- Interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees;
addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Working with Human Resources on employee issues.
- Lead and act as an exemplary role model for leaders at all levels, with adherence to the company’s culture.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (required)
- 10+ years’ experience in supply chain management, supplier management, procurement, program management, program planning and scheduling, or materials management. (required)
- 5+ years experience of SIOP & materials management. (required)
- Master’s degree (valued)
- PMP, APICS, or other SCM, S&OP, Six Sigma Certification. (valued)
- Experience in a matrix organization. (valued)
- Extensive Demand and / or supply planning experience using JD Edwards E1. (valued)
