Duties
As the Chief Enterprise Architect, you will play a crucial role on the senior IT leadership team, overseeing the planning and direction of the agency's IT initiatives.
Your primary focus will be on enterprise architecture, IT strategy, and innovation to ensure all IT solutions, processes, services, and structures align with the agency's long-term goals and mission.
Collaborating closely with DOL executive and business teams, you will support the implementation of strategic projects and initiatives.
Leading the Enterprise Architecture (EA) team, you will work to align business, process, and technology, providing a cohesive approach to services, products, applications, and channels - key to the team's success.
Additionally, you will set the direction for the agency's technology platforms and guide its adoption of emerging technologies.
Some of what you will do :
- Lead the Enterprise Architecture (EA) program to develop, maintain and govern the architecture across the enterprise.
- Create and implement the vision for EA at DOL.
- Manage, plan, and analyze architecture implementation of strategic business initiatives and legislative mandates that require implementation and integration of technology.
- Collaborate closely with Service Line Managers, Architects, Data and Infrastructure Engineers, Security Analysts, and Developers to maintain adherence to architectural standards, compliance requirements, performance metrics, and project delivery goals.
- Motivate, inspire, guide, coach, and build trust with teams and direct reports
Qualifications
What you will bring :
- Eleven (11) years of experience in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Management, Enterprise Architecture, or related field.
- Experience in a business or IT consulting operational role such as : Requirements analysis.Architecture.Systems design.
Development.Large-scale IT projects.Business / technology alignment, and / or strategy.
- Five (5) years of experience leading and / or directing an enterprise architecture program.
- Four (4) years of experience leading and / or supervising a team.
Experience can be gained concurrently. Up to four (4) years of relevant education may substitute year for year for experience.
Associates degree 2 years Bachelor’s degree 4 years)
What may set you apart :
- Master’s degree in business administration, computer science, information management, enterprise architecture, or related field.
- Experience in effectively coordinating activities, services, and schedules to ensure smooth and efficient operations of work.
- Ability to understand emerging technologies and have the willingness to master new disciplines.
