ROLE SUMMARY : The Clinical Programs and Training Supervisor supports the Nursing & Quality Manager in developing and maintaining clinical quality improvement initiatives and standards across the Wayzata Children's Clinics clinical support teams.

This position services in a mentorship role to the clinical support teams within Wayzata Children's Clinic. This position provides leadership support as directed by the Nursing & Quality Manager for providing continuing education, competency skills testing and training, o rientation / onboarding of new team members, and monitoring of clinical quality measures as defined by Wayzata Children's Clinic.

The Clinical Programs and Training Supervisor plays a critical role in quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives through participation in project management teams.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • This person will use their breadth of knowledge to continue educating and developing the skills and talents of the clinic employees, while monitoring the clinic's compliance with all governmental, state, and industry standards.
  • Support development and implementation of standardized clinical protocols, participate in new clinical employee orientation programs, and provide supporting oversight as directed by Nursing & Quality Manager to Wayzata Children's Clinic clinical staff.
  • Conduct routine competency skills checks on existing and new clinical team
  • Provides credible information to senior leadership for internal performance data, research, and external benchmarking to allow them to make informed critical decisions.

  • Define and implement process improvements on key initiatives that result in significant improvements in quality, reliability, and service delivery, increasing organizational effectiveness and / or increasing patient safety.

I0. Participate in the Quality & Compliance Committee meetings providing insights to any areas of performance deficiencies, bringing relevant quality program data and reports, and provide insights to clinical processes and protocols.

11.Ensure that key metrics are defined, developed, and tracked, and that improvements increase the likelihood of a positive impact for each assignment.

12. Coordinate and tracks the activities of multi-functional teams, including deliverables.

13. Serve in mentorship role to Wayzata Children's Clinic clinical support team.

14. Guide teams to develop improvement plans to reduce process variation.

15. Communicate approved plans, project status, and outcomes to senior leadership and appropriate personnel.

16. Demonstrate understanding and utilizes tones, tools and behaviors that promote patient safety in highly reliable organizations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education : Bachelor's Degree preferred. Clinical training with a minimum certification as Medical Assistant required.

Experience :

1. Three (3) years of experience in project management, healthcare administration -OR- clinical field.

2. Three (3) years of acute care experience.

3. Three (3) years of progressive management experience.

4. Experience incorporating process improvement methodologies into larger scale projects.

5. Experience managing multiple projects with various time frames and requirements.

6. Experience with Project Management methodology based on Project Management Principles.

7. Demonstrated experience related to a wide variety of patient populations and care delivery models.

8. Demonstrated experience in communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, with physicians, employees, and all levels of leadership across the organization.
