Job Description
Oversee all Material Planning activities in the factory including procurement or raw material and packaging, Raw Material and WIP Inventory, Production scheduling of 4 lines, Off-Line Press and Repack, Cycle counting, SAP master data, etc.
Ensure all safety policies are followed within the factory
Oversee Production Planning, Receiving, and Material Handling in the facility
Oversee returnable packaging
Maintain capacity planning for all equipment and labor
Oversee all purchasing activities
Work to resolve invoice issues
Maintain routings in SAP
Oversee cycle counting of raw material, packaging, & semi-finished goods
Lead continuous improvement teams for inventory accuracy
Participate in continuous improvement activities in all departments
Maintain target inventory dollars for all materials
Ensure FIFO is being followed on all materials
Communicate recovery plans directly with customer service as needed
Write, implement, & monitor work instructions and procedures in designate areas
Develop a future vision and strategy for materials planning together with best practices from Sika Automotive
Benchmark existing procedures and practices across each facility, and other regions
Develop standard processes, work instructions and methods of work for materials planning
Develop and report standard metrics and results
Organize meetings to solve reported problems and develop corrective actions.
