Position : Construction Management Construction Quality Manager

Reports to : Department Manager

General Qualities

  • Oversee the construction quality of our project.
  • Ensuring that our project meets the highest standards of quality and compliance with regulations.
  • Extensive experience implementing QC programs in a construction environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the designated CQCM, approved by CTDOT, responsible for the construction quality of the project.
  • Be present on-site daily to supervise or self-perform QC actions throughout the duration of the project. Maintain independence from design and construction production teams and have the authority to halt construction work if necessary.
  • Implement and oversee QC programs to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams on quality control procedures and best practices.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective actions as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications :

  • Training and certification in QC principles, such as NETTCP QA Technologist Certification or equivalent, satisfactory to CTDOT.
  • Construction phase experience relevant to the type of work and scope of the project.
  • Substitutions allowed for educational attainment (e.g., bachelor’s or associate degree in related fields) and relevant certifications (e.g., NICET IV or III).
  • Prior supervisory experience in roadway or bridge construction preferred.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in construction, with at least 2 years of demonstrated success implementing QC programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
