Senior Director of Operations

Who are we looking for :

We’re seeking an experienced operations leader with senior management experience in a dynamic setting to join our rapidly growing North American business.

The role requires outstanding organizational, communication, and leadership skills and an ability work closely with a global team to strategize and develop plans and relationships that will ensure long-term success for the company.

The role is full-time, home-based, but requires constant travel within the territory. Reporting to North America General Manager and working closely with TIPA’s global operations’ team at headquarters.

Job description and overview

Education and experience :

• Bsc / Msc in Industrial Engineering or equivalent
• Proven operations leadership with experience in Flexible packaging
• Excellent project-management skills, planning and data oriented.
• Proactive approach and problem-solving skills.
• Experience building relationships, earning trust, and inspiring others to take action

Role Overview :

• Collaborate with senior managers in the development of goals and long-term operational plans
• Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement
• Develop a strong understanding of TIPA products, Operations’ capabilities, and limitations
• Raise Operational gaps and missing capabilities and source for new manufacturers and converters in NA, as part of growing TIPA’s supply chain.
• Accountability of the Operations’ KPIs in NA.

Responsibilities and Authority :

• Work with NA Sales to understand market demand and new opportunities
• Optimize operational capabilities and develop new ones as needed
• Develop and manage TIPA’s network of vendors and suppliers commercially and operationally
• Plan film and laminates production campaigns and work with HQ to support them
• Verify all operational processes are followed within the different information systems
• Maintain operational knowledge within the company and create routine and proper documentation
• Monitor, review, and approve shipping costs, POs and relevant invoices
• Working with planning, sales operations, and manufacturing to delivering on time, in full
• Oversee and ensure maintenance of accurate materials inventory
• Manage internal and external customer claims and determine root cause analysis and action plan
• Build and manage strong commercial and operational relationships with TIPA’s manufacturers.
