Job Details
Essential Functions
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including those with customers, vendors, and other third parties.
- Develop cross-functional relationships and facilitate decision-making among the legal team and other internal business units, including sales, marketing, operations, accounting, human resources, risk management, and information technology.
- Develop and maintain standard contract templates and compliance policies, driving efficiencies in the contracting process.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations and administration of the contract management system.
- Prepare, review, and revise non-disclosure agreements and other contracts based on existing forms and templates.
- Review, revise, and approve leasing agreements and amendments, as well as tenant estoppel and subordination agreements.
- Improve legal department processes to increase efficiencies and mitigate legal and compliance risks.
- Manage compliance with applicable laws and regulations and conduct legal research to stay current on developments that may impact the company, particularly in human resources and environmental areas.
- Advise on data privacy and protection matters, including compliance with international, federal, and state regulations, data transfer requirements, e-privacy and marketing, and data processing provisions in customer and vendor contracts.
- Develop and maintain a data privacy compliance framework and policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with legal processes and procedures.

- Ability to collaborate as part of a team and work effectively with the legal department and other company departments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, research, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate legal concepts effectively to business units and provide practical business advice.
- Capability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks, frequently re-evaluating priorities.
- Ability to respond efficiently to inquiries from business units.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to improving processes.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in Adobe Professional or similar programs.
- Familiarity with RMIS and vendor management software is a plus.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Licensed member of a state bar.
- Meets state requirements for continuing legal education.
- 4-10 years of experience practicing law in a recognized law firm and / or in-house position.
- Fluency with commercial contracts, non-disclosure agreements, acquisition agreements, finance agreements, real estate transactions, leasing, and other transactional documents.
- Knowledge of human resources, anti-corruption, antitrust, data privacy, and other compliance matters.
