Under the supervision of the IT Manager and the lead of the Desktop Support Team Supervisor, provide a variety of computing technical support and services to Phoenix staff, faculty, and affiliates of the Entomology Nematology, Plant Pathology departments, and Programs within.
The incumbent is expected to acquire the skills and knowledge to perform more advanced work following an agreed upon time in position, through defined on-the-job training and development planning.
Troubleshoot problems and engineer sustainable solutions with OS, applications, connectivity, and security at the technology and operational level.
Implement and maintain security configurations to support Campus Cybersecurity guidelines. Research, learn, and document solutions for technical problems.
Test software and hardware to assess fitness for purpose. Write and maintain technical documentation for both support staff and clients.
