Job Title : Pediatric Private Duty Nurse (RN or LPN)

Location : Montgomery County, MD

Hours : Day shift, Full time and PRN opportunities available

LPN Pay : $ 40 / hour (DOE)

RN Pay : $ 52 / hour (DOE)

Start Date : asap

Summary of Position :

The private duty nurse provides all the primary care of the student from when the student arrives at school until the student departs from school.

The PDN may accompany the student to help enable them to attend school-sponsored and / or school-funded programs outside of school and / or outside of the school day.

Private Duty Nurse (RN / LPN) Requirements :

• Current Registered Nurse / LPN licensure in the state of Maryland
• Covid vaccination, or weekly testing if not vaccinated·
• Pediatric experience

Possible Essential Functions for RN / LPN (depends on students needs :

• Urinary catheterizations
• Suctioning and reinsertion of tracheotomy tube
• Medication administration and management including observation for adverse reactions, response or lack of response to medication and informing the parent / guardian, and their supervisor, about the negative reaction(s) to the medications
• Oxygen administration, and ventilator care
• Enteral (tube) feedings
• Continuous glucose monitoring, diabetic pump monitoring and compliance with doctor’s orders for diabetic care.
