Position Focus :
Dr. Abigail Friedman at the Yale School of Public Health is seeking a Research Project Coordinator to aid in task management across affiliated researchers and research assistants under her direction, contribute to the development of reports and written materials, and coordinate with administrative offices to ensure timely completion of grant deliverables.
Essential Duties include allocating day-to-day tasks across affiliated researchers and research assistants to ensure timely completion of grant deliverables.
Identifying best practices to manage file storage, documentation, and data sharing across team members and research sites, and support their implementation.
Identifying and implementing best practices to ensure quality control in statistical coding and research replicability across team members, including developing specialized documentation and / or training as needed to ensure implementation.
Developing a variety of reports and written materials, ranging from drafting internal memos on specific policies of interest to revising outward-facing documents for research dissemination or reporting. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties
1. Assumes primary responsibility for a program, service, activity, operation or function in an assigned area. Develops objectives, practice and procedure and identifies resources to ensure accomplishment of operational goals.
2. Coordinates day-to-day operations in order to achieve designated goals. Ensures effective management and leads the development and implementation of best practices.
3. Designs and implements quality control metrics to identify areas of risk. Analyzes, recommends, and implements strategic solutions to minimize risk.
4. Develops a variety of complex report and other written materials. 5. Provides guidance to and collaboration with internal and external partners as necessary.
6. Develops, oversees and monitors budgets. 7. Develops and maintains specialized training. 8. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in related field and three years of related and demonstrated experience or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated experience.
Required Skill / Ability 1 :
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Required Skill / Ability 2 :
Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
Required Skill / Ability 3 :
Ability to organize and prioritize projects efficiently and effectively.
Required Skill / Ability 4 :
Demonstrated experience with statistical coding, preferably in STATA.
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills :
Degree in economics, health policy, public policy, or a related field, with a demonstrated interest in policy-relevant work.
