Responsibilities
- Responsible for completion of third-party audits :
- Serve as primary point of contact for third party payors;
- Research and procure appropriate documentation requested in audit;
- Collaborate with client, as necessary to obtain adequate and accurate documentation;
- Ascertain timely response to all audit requests; and track and report audit results to Management on a timely basis.
- Responsible for rebilling any claims necessary because of audit procedures.
- Assist in verification of Medicaid eligibility, as requested.
- Assist with weekly and monthly unit dose composite claims, as requested.
- Assist in billing efforts, as requested.
- Assist with hospice billing, as requested.
- Any and all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Long-term care pharmacy billing experience, minimum two (2) years.
- Knowledge of billing software, electronic billing, and electronic medical records.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills with clear ability to adhere to deadlines.
- Detail oriented with effective time management skills.
- Software skills :
- Experience with billing and accounting software for managing accounts, processing payments, and reconciling reports; and Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products.
