We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to become a part of our team! You will prepare detailed working diagrams of products as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare diagrams and drafts for mechanical devices and machines
- Design fixtures for internal use in assembly, testing, and machining environments in collaboration with our engineering and production management teams
- 3D-print prototype parts and internal fixtures
- Calculate dimensions and tolerance using measuring instruments
- Review and modify designs to reduce production deficiencies
- Provide timely updates for drawing completion and workload
- Create internal documentation, including ECNs, assembly drawings, and written work instructions
- Coordinate with other colleagues regarding complex diagrams
Qualifications :
- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar specialty
- Familiarity with machine designs and diagrams
- Proficient with AutoCAD, Solidworks, and / or Inventor
Solid understanding of mechanical systems, fasteners, machinery, and design best practices
Solid understanding of tolerancing and drafting best practices
A good eye for elegant, yet efficient design
