Overview
Kimley-Horn's Twin Cities office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join their Aviation team! This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of engineers and designers on a variety of projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare analysis reports in support of airport planning, design, and construction.
- Manage project tasks, develop plans and specifications, observe construction operations, and coordinate work with other team members.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and engineering technicians.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to contribute to the successful completion of assigned projects.
- Ensure adherence to applicable codes, standards, and regulations in all project activities.
- Maintain quality plans along with checking the work of others.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to meet project objectives and deadlines.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of general civil, land development, municipal or aviation engineering design experience.
- Professional Engineering ( License (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
- Familiarity with contract document preparation and cost estimating.
- Familiarity with pavement design.
- Familiarity with construction methods, materials and techniques.
- Strong desire and passion to work as part of a team to develop solutions for our client’s needs.
- Strong AutoCAD, Civil 3D experience.
- Ability to work in a team; both collaborating with and mentoring junior staff.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines.
