- Knowledge on DFSMS (DFSMShsm / DFSMSdss), Flashcopy, ICF Catalogs, HCD
- Performance tuning & Development of operational procedures
- Experience with system indicators (logs, dumps, error) logs for pro-active management of system problems
- Hardware knowledge on large-scale hardware vendors (IBM, Brocade, Cisco)
- Experience in managing IBM (DS8000) storage including replication monitoring
- Experience with IBM Virtual Tape Management Systems (VTS) including replication monitoring
- Experience / knowledge of parallel sysplex (GDPS), catalog management, IBM system utilities
- Administer 3rd-party storage systems software
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software product suite
- On-call rotation / weekend work required
