Instructional Technology Technician
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology hasan opening in the Learning & Technology Department for an InstructionalTechnology Technician.
The ideal candidate will be committed to supporting theinstitute’s mission by providing instructional technology services and supportto faculty, students, and staff.
The InstructionalTechnology Technician will analyze, design, test, implement, document, andmaintain control system software / programming for managing audiovisualtechnologies in academic classrooms.
In collaboration with the InstructionalTechnology Manager, this position will assess the suitability of instructionaltechnology systems in terms of intended uses / outcomes;
proactively monitor andupdate technologies in academic classrooms to continuously improve userexperiences and technology reliability.
This position will respond to requestsfor assistance, troubleshoot technical problems, and implement solutions.
The InstructionalTechnology Technician will assist the Instructional Technology Manager inmaintaining an accurate inventory of instructional technology equipment andconverting instructional media into different formats.
This position will createand maintain written records and technical schematics of technologies installedin the classrooms.
Qualified candidates will have anassociate degree or vocational or technical school degree and one to threeyears of relevant work experience.
Preferred candidates willhave a bachelor’s degree in computer science / engineering or related field.Knowledge of / or experience maintaining Crestron control systems and monitoringapplications (, Crestron Fusion) highly desirable.
Ability to be trained asa Crestron Level 2 certified programmer, with future development to includeapplicable certifications and continued training.
