PREFERRED : Proficiency in data profiling and data analysis techniques usingtools like SQL Excel or data profiling software;
Basicunderstanding of datarelated technologies and tools such as ETLdata warehouses and data lakes; Basic understanding of datavisualization and reporting tools such as Qlik Sense.

Requirements :
- Availability to work100% at the Clients site in Tallahassee FL (required);
- Experience in management metadata management data governance orinformation management (3 years);
- Familiarity with datadictionaries and data cataloging tools and platforms such asInformatica;
- Understanding of data governance principlesdata quality data stewardship practices and regulatory compliancerequirements;
- Knowledge of metadata standards andframeworks such as Dublin Core ISO 19115 and FGDCCSDGM;
- Familiarity with environmental science water quality or relatedfields;
- Experience in data management metadatamanagement data governance or information management in ascientific or environmental context;
- Proficiency in dataprofiling and data analysis techniques using tools like Excel orprofiling software;
- Basic understanding of relatedtechnologies and tools such as ETL warehouses and lakes;
Basic understanding of visualization and reporting tools such asQlik Sense.
Responsibilities include but are not limited tothe following :
- Identify catalog and classify assetsincluding datasets databases and metadata;
- Work withdata stewards to develop and maintain standardized metadatadescriptions for data assets capturing key attributes such as datasource format structure quality and usage restrictions;
- Define and implement data classification schemas taxonomies andontologies to organize and categorize data assets according to ITstandards domainspecific topics themes and attributes;
- Conduct data profiling and quality assessment activities toevaluate the completeness accuracy and consistency of data assetsidentifying data gaps anomalies and errors together with the datastewards and datasource Subject Matter Experts (SMEs);
- Collaborate with data governance members to establish and enforcedata cataloging policies standards and procedures that promoteconsistency reliability and compliance with regulatoryrequirements;
Work closely with data owners stewardsconsumers and stakeholders across the department to understandtheir data needs requirements and priorities and ensure thatcataloged data assets meet their expectations.
