Specific Job Responsibilities :
- Ensure all culinary functions, including preparation, quality, taste, and presentation, meet or exceed standards.
- Provide supportive leadership to kitchen staff.
- Menu creation and the development and implementation of culinary programs
- Hiring and training of new kitchen staff, scheduling, payroll, and disciplinary procedures.
- Ensure compliance with standards, procedures, and health, safety, and sanitation requirements.
- Managing the kitchen inventory and ensuring supplies are fresh and of high quality.
- Oversee, manage and execute both Line A La Carte tickets and Banquet Event Orders.
- Attend Management meetings and BEO meetings.
Job / Skill Requirements :
- Formal culinary training or degree.
- 3-5 years of culinary management experience.
- Ability to create and execute high quality and diverse menus.
- Effectively manage costs and budget goals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Point of Sale and restaurant management software.
- Ability to multitask and work quickly under pressure.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to provide effective written and verbal instructions, without close, daily direction.
- Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ability to work in an environment that includes activities such as bending, lifting, stooping, kneeling, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and grasping for up to 5 hours without sitting.
Be able to lift 25-30 pounds frequently, and push, pull, lift, or carry 50 pounds occasionally.
